Age Limits As On 11 September 2026
- Minimum Age : 21 Years
- Maximum Age : 35 Years
- Upper age 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 for OBC and 40 for SC/ST as in the advertisement. PwBD: further relaxation up to 10 years, subject to a maximum of 56 years. Eligibility in every respect is counted on 11 September 2026.
UPSC provides age relaxation as per their regulations.
Recruitment Test scheme (Appendix-I)
Two hours; objective multiple-choice; equal marks for each question; English and Hindi; one-third negative mark for a wrong answer; no penalty if left blank. Broad syllabus: General English; Indian culture, heritage and freedom movements; developmental issues and present trends in the Indian economy; governance and the Constitution of India; general science and basic computer applications; elementary mathematics, statistics and general mental ability; industrial relations, labour codes and social security in India; principles of accountancy, auditing and insurance; current events of national and international importance. Interview suitability: General/EWS 50+, OBC 45+, SC/ST/PwBD 40+.
