Eligible serving LDCs/JSAs of CSCS, DoPT cadre should complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website ssc.gov.in (old ssc.nic.in OTR will not work), then apply online under the 'Live Exam' tab before 16 July 2026, and forward the printed application through proper channel to the Regional Director, SSC (Northern Region), New Delhi.

Eligibility & Exam Pattern
Candidates need at least 5 years of approved continuous service in the Lower Division Grade as on the crucial date of 1 August 2025, and must have passed the SSC/UPSC typewriting test unless exempted. The exam has two parts totaling 300 marks: a 200-mark Computer Based Examination (Comprehension & General English, Parliamentary Procedure, General Knowledge, Noting and Drafting — 50 marks each, with 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer) and a 100-mark Evaluation of Service Record (APAR).

उम्मीदवारों के पास 1 अगस्त 2025 की निर्णायक तिथि तक लोअर डिवीजन ग्रेड में न्यूनतम 5 वर्ष की अनुमोदित निरंतर सेवा होनी चाहिए, तथा उन्होंने SSC/UPSC टाइपिंग टेस्ट पास किया हो (जब तक छूट न मिली हो)। परीक्षा कुल 300 अंकों की दो भागों में होगी: 200 अंकों की कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा (कॉम्प्रिहेंशन व सामान्य अंग्रेजी, संसदीय प्रक्रिया, सामान्य ज्ञान, नोटिंग व ड्राफ्टिंग — प्रत्येक 50 अंक, 0.25 नकारात्मक अंकन) तथा 100 अंकों का सेवा अभिलेख मूल्यांकन (APAR)।
